In the 2010s, as Egyptians began to move from Millwood to Antioch, "Rice Road Apartments," as they are known in our community, became the new focal point for newcomers in terms of renting. There also began a new trend in which 2000s migrants rented out their properties to newcomers and began that connection. The "Rice Road Apartments" are really a few apartment complexes nestled between Murfreesboro Pike and Bell Road. In a very similar fashion to how Millwood got its name, Rice Road is a new heartbeat to Egyptian migrants.
